Indigo Hair & Beauty seeks to provide non-smokers the right to work in air free of tobacco smoke, whilst also taking into account the needs of those who smoke.
Indigo Hair & Beauty is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment and as such limits the exposure of all workers and visitors to tobacco smoke, operating a strict no smoking policy, unless in designated smoking areas.
Employees wishing to smoke or vape may do so, so long as it adheres to the smoking and vaping policy that is set out and does not prevent them from carrying out their responsibilities and work duties.
Under no circumstances should employees smoke or vape in public view, or inside the building.
Employees permitted to smoke or vape should only do so in the designated smoking area – rear garden.
Clients wishing to smoke or vape do so outdoors, to the shop front of the Salon – Leith Walk.
This policy forms part of the Health and Safety Policy, any breach of this policy will lead to disciplinary procedures being applied.
Smokers are reminded that it is a criminal offence to smoke indoors.
